Special Shandur Polo Festival 2022
Shandur is Called the “Roof of the world” Shandur invites visitors of National and International to experience a traditional polo tournament which since 1936 has been held annually from the 7th to the 9th of July at the Shandur Pass in Chitral District. in between the teams of Chitral and Gilgit. The tournament is held on Shandur Pass, the highest polo ground in the world at 3,700 meters The festival also includes Folk music, dancing and a camping village is set up.
The polo tournament is featured in the first episode of Himalaya with Michael Palin.Gilgit, Chitral and Skardu have always played the game of polo closest to its original form. In the past, local Rajas, Mirs and Mehtars were the patrons of the game.

Day 1 : Arrival In Islamabad
Welcome at Islamabad Airport transfer to hotel afternoon visit islamabad city over night at hotel
Day 2 : Islamabad Taxila Swat:
After breakfast A short tour of Taxila Ghandhara Civilization Visit Julia Sirkap & Mohra Muradu archeological site learn different phases of Ghandhara art over Night In Swat
Day 3 Swat -Chitral:
After breakfast drive to Chitral Valley after reached check in hotel then visit chitral town museum and fort over night at hotel
Day 4 Excursion Chitral Kalash Valley :
Drive to a Unique Valley of the World (Kalash Valley ) Rumbur ,Bumburet and birir Valley over Night at Hotel
Day 5 Chitral -Shandur Pass:
After Breakfast check out hotel and drive to Shandur pass 6 to 7 Hour aftre reached transfer to hotel or Camp
Day 6 -Shandur Pass- Polo Ground Festival
We will Enjoy the match played between the teams of Gilgit and Chitral. After watching we will driver to Gupis over night at hotel
Day 7 Gupis Ghizer Gilgit :
Full Day tour phander Valley Ghizer and Drive to Hunza over night at hotel
Day 8: Excursion Hunza Valley.
Full Day tour of Hunza Valley Visit Altit Baltit Fort Hoper Glacier Over Night at Hotel.
Day 9: Hunza To Islamabad
Transfer to Gilgit airport for domestic flight or drive to Islamabad over night chilas or naran hotel
Day 10 Back to Islamabad :
Arrival in islamabad check in hotel or transfer international airport for home departure.
