Day 1: Islamabad to Chilas

Depart Islamabad early and travel toward Chilas. The summer route may operate through Naran and Babusar Pass; outside that period, the Karakoram Highway is used. Planned stops are made for meals, comfort and photography. Overnight in Chilas.

Day 2: Chilas to Skardu

Follow the Indus River through dramatic mountain scenery toward Skardu. Stop at suitable viewpoints and arrive by evening for hotel check-in. The remainder of the day is kept light after the long drive. Overnight in Skardu.

Day 3: Upper Kachura and Shangrila

Visit Upper Kachura Lake and the Shangrila Resort area, with time for boating when available and a relaxed walk around the lakeside. Return through the Skardu countryside and local market. Overnight in Skardu.

Day 4: Shigar Valley and Sarfaranga

Drive to Shigar Valley to visit Shigar Fort and explore traditional Balti settlements. Continue to the Sarfaranga Cold Desert for its dunes and mountain backdrop. Return to Skardu before evening. Overnight in Skardu.

Day 5: Deosai National Park
