3 Day tour to Naran Kaghan from Islamabad

Day 1: Islamabad → Naran Valley

Morning: Depart from Islamabad via the Hazara Motorway. The drive is roughly 6–7 hours.
Mid-day: Stop at Balakot for a riverside lunch along the Kunhar River.
Afternoon: Continue through the scenic Kewai Waterfall (perfect for a tea break where chairs are placed in the water).
Evening: Arrive in Naran, check into your hotel, and explore the vibrant Naran Bazaar.

Day 2: Lake Saif-ul-Malook & Upper Kaghan

Morning: Take a thrilling 4×4 Jeep ride to Lake Saif-ul-Malook (approx. 40 mins). Enjoy hiking or a boat ride at the lake while taking in the views of Malika Parbat.
Afternoon: Drive toward Batakundi and Jalkhand. If the road is clear, you can visit Lulusar Lake, the largest natural lake in the region.
Evening: Return to Naran. Enjoy a trout fish dinner, a local specialty.

Day 3: Shogran & Siri Paye → Islamabad

Morning: Checkout and drive back toward Kiwai. Switch to a Jeep for a 45-minute climb to the lush green meadows of Shogran.
Mid-day: Visit Siri Paye Meadows for panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.
Afternoon: Descend to Kiwai and begin the return journey to Islamabad.
Evening: Arrive back in Islamabad by late evening.

Weather: Even in May, Naran is cold at night (often near freezing). Pack warm layers, a waterproof jacket, and sturdy walking shoes.
Road Conditions: The MNJ Road is currently open up to Naran and Batakundi, but landslides can occur during spring rains. It is highly recommended to travel during daylight hours.
Accommodation: Hotels are just starting to reopen for the 2026 season. It is wise to book in advance as maintenance and plumbing repairs are common in early May.
