Chitral. The town of Ayun is short of Chitral city on the confluence of Chitral and Bumburet River. Some of the attractions of Chitral include the Shahi Mosque, Shahi Qila, polo ground, Governor Cottage Chitral museum. .

Tour Plan Itinerary: Chitral Kalash Shandur Top Program
Day 1: Islamabad – Dir – Chitral (430 kms/11-12hrs)
We will make an early departure from designated spot in Islamabad for Dir at the foot of Lowari Pass, preferably crossed with 4 wheel drive vehicle. Winding over the Lowari Mountain is an interesting and rewarding experience. Lowari tunnel is an alternative of Lowari pass but it’s operational for limited time of the day only. On the other side of the mountain, we again find asphalt road and arrive in Chitral in the evening and check in to hotel for night stay.
Day 2: Chitral – Excursion Garam Chashma (100kms/4hrs)
Chitral Town is dominated by the view of distant Tirich Mir, the highest peak of Hindu Kush range of mountains. River Chitral is flowing through the town and offers superb views for photography. After breakfast we will leave for Garam Chasma, a sub valley of Chitral, famous for its Sulphur Springs and Trout fish. After spending some time in the valley we head back to hotel in Chitral for a night stay.
Day 3: Chitral – Bamburet (Kalash Valley) (30 kms/2.5hrs)
After spending some time in Chitral we will leave for Kalash Valley and check in to hotel at Bamburet. Visit to Kalash graveyard and school made with the help of the people of Greece would be an interesting addition. Participants can meet and interact with community members, teachers and local kids in their traditional dresses. Night stay will be in Bamburet.
Day 4: Bamburet – Day free at Bamburet
Participants will get free day to get relaxed and enjoy the breathtaking views of the valley. Kalash are an exotic feature of the region, these tribes are contrasted to rest of the country. Their culture, religion, customs and habitat is unique and interesting. Optional trip to Rambur, another typical Kalash village can be organized.
Day 5: Bamburet – Islamabad (440kms/ 12-13hrs)
We will leave early morning from Bamburet for a long drive back to Islamabad. Participants will be dropped at the designated spot in Islamabad.

Qaqlasht Valley Festival :
Qaqlasht Festival which is held every year in April. Jashan-e-Qaqlasht is the old-age festival of the people of northern Chitral with a history of more than 2,000 years. Rais rulers used to organize it in the remote past to be continued by the Kator dynasty, which not only assiduously patronized this particular cultural event, but also promoted other festivals e.g. Jashan-e-Shandur and Jashan-e-Chitral.Qaqlasht is a flat terrain that is located about 80 kilometers north of Chitral town and approachable by a smooth drive of one and half-hour.
Madaglasht Valley:
Madaglasht Valley is located at the South-east of Chitral Town.Tourist attractions: Mixed Chitrali and Persian culture, various handicrafts, Gocharsar Waterfall, treks to the Goleen and Laspur valleys of Chitral and to the Dir Kohistan valleys. How to get there: Daily transport (4×4) is available between Drosh and Madaglasht at specified timings. Travel time is three hours from Drosh to the main village of the valley.
Kalash Valley:
The most famous valley in the Chitral district is Kalash Valley that is known for its Greek Mythology. The people of Kalash falls in the minority of Pakistan’s population. Without any doubt, they are proudly living their lives in their way, practising their religion freely in Kalash Valley. Furthermore, the valley is located in the south, almost 34 km away from the Chitral.
Shahi Fort:
The Chitral Fort is a fortification in Chitral metropolis, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The castle is located at the banks of the Chitral River. The fort has a commanding position on the river and is assumed to have been built in 1774 at some stage in the reign of Mohtaram Shah Katur II and restored in 1911 by way of His Highness Sir Shuja ul-Mulk .The compound used to residence the barracks of the guards of Mehtar of Chitral
Gram Chashma:
Exploring the mysterious land of Chitral, Gram Chashma is also the most favourite and popular spot of Chitral. Gram Chashma as described by the name offers hot water in springs as well. In its first section, we encounter the jewellery, instruments furniture of the ancestor that was used in the 12 century. Tirich Mir:
One of the tallest peaks in all mountain ranges is Tirich Mir, which is also the highest in Hindu Kush Mountain Range. It is almost at an elevation of 7,708 m (25,289 ft.).
