DETAILED TOUR ITINEARRY
DAY 1: LAHORE – TASHKENT (Friday, 10.15am – 12.45pm)
Arrive in Tashkent. Your local English speaking tour guide will meet you at airport
. Transfer to the hotel for check in. Time for rest and relax. The sightseeing tour starts in Tashkent
– the capital of Uzbekistan, the age of which is more than 2200 years. First you will explore the Old Part or Old
City of Tashkent with Khast-Imam Complex where the world famous Quran of Caliph Othman of 7th centuryhasbeen preserved. This wonderful complex consists of Barak-Khan Madrasah, the largest in the Tilya-SheykhFriday Mosque, Mausoleum of Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the Islamic Institute of Imam alBukhari. Withinwalking distance there is a local market - bazaar Chorsu. You will have free time to explore the bazaar famous forits traditional souvenirs, dried fruits, ceramicandpotteryitems.YouwillalsovisitKukeldashMadrassah which is
still used for teaching Islamic theology. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro with the beautiful station made frommarble and decorated by different artists. Explore the New Part of Tashkent with Independence Square with itsgrandiose fountains, Broadway Street and Amir Timur central square, Alisher Navoi operaandballettheatresquare. DAY 2: TASHKENT – SAMARKAND (Saturday)
Transfer to railway station for high-speed train “Afrosiyob” (economy class) to Samarkand. Arrive in Samarkand.
Start your sightseeing tour in legendary city of Samarkand became so famous because of Amir Timur or
Tamerlane. Visit the Complex of Imam al-Bukhari. Imam al-Bukhari was the great theologian of the East. He
collected and recorded about 600 thousand hadith, the legends based on cases of life or some sayings of the
Prophet. Out of them, al-Bukhari selected as “flawless” about 7400 hadith to include into the famous “As-Sahih”
which became the second most important book after the Koran for the majority of Sunni (entrance included).
Then, you will visit Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis – the ensemble of the mausoleums erected around the grave of
Khusam Ibn-Abbas, a cousin of Muhammad prophet (outside), and Gur Emir Mausoleum – the graves of
Tamerlane and his descendants (outside). Finally you will have a chance to visit spectacular Registan Square
(sandy place) with its world famous three splendid madrassahs of Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tillya-Kari (outside).
Free time in the afternoon to explore local Siyab Bazaar – the colorful main farmer’s market

DAY 3: SAMARKAND – BUKHARA (Sunday)
Check out the hotel. Transfer to railway station for high-speed train “Afrosiyob” (economy class) to Bukhara.
Arrive in Bukhara and check in the hotel. In the second half of the day start your sightseeing tour visiting Chor-
minor Madrassah (Four minarets). The towers’ décor elements are believed to reflect the religious-philosophicalunderstanding of the world’s four religions. At least, it is easy to see that some elements look like a cross, aChristian fish, and the Buddhist prayer wheel (outside). Then, drive out of town to visit Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa –
summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir, unique monument combining Oriental and Russian style architecture
(outside). Continue to Bakhauddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum (entrance included) and Chor-Bakr Necropolis (outs).

DAY 4: BUKHARA – TASHKENT (Monday)
The unique architecture of Bukhara is well preserved here with its narrow streets and alleys, and by rights the citywas listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Your second day in Bukhara will start from the walkingsightseeing
tour with a guide in Old City visiting splendid water Complex Lyabi-Khauz with Nadir Divan-Begi Madrassah,
Magoki-Attori Mosque, trade domes of Toki-Sarrofon (moneychanger’s bazaar), Toki-Telpak Furushon(cap makers bazaar) and Toki Zargaron (jeweler’s bazaar), Poi Kalyan complex consisting from Kalyan Minaret that
was in use for many years as a sort of beacon showing the way to Bukhara, Kalyan Friday mosque andMiriArabMadrassah, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs. Continue sightseeing tour visiting the SamanidsMausoleum -full of magnificence and feeling of moving from this world to the world that lasts forever, Chashma-AyubMausoleum with the holy water source, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, also known as the mosque with the 40 pillars, and
Ark Fortress, the reinforced citadel of Bukhara (only the western gate has been restored) – all monuments are
from outside). In the second part of the day transfer to railway station for high-speed train “Afrosiyob” (economyclass) back to Tashkent. Arrive in Tashkent and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 5: TASHKENT – CHIMGAN MOUNTAINS – CHARVAK LAKE – TASHKENT (Tuesday)
In the morning drive to Chimgan Mountains (80 km – 2 hours). Chimgan Mountain area, located just 80 km north-east of Tashkent, on the altitude of 1500 meters above sea level in the mountains of South-West TianShan, is themost popular holiday place of both local people and visitors from other countries. You will drive through thepicturesque places full of local villages, gardens, and mountain streams. If the weatherconditions allow andcableway is functioning, you can take 3 km long ride in Beldersay gorge to Kumbelpeak (2400 meters). Have awalk in mountain area. Then, continue to the lake shore of Charvakreservoir, surrounded by green mountain hills.This area is a favorite place of locals and foreigners to enjoy summer days outside the city. Return to Tashkent inthe afternoon. Arrive in Tashkent hotel.
