UNESCO listed Kalash culture as “Intangible Cultural Heritage” in November 2018.The three Valleys (Bumburate, Rambur, Birir) and their indigenous people are one of the reasons most of the foreigners come to Pakistan lately.Kalash Festivals and culture are unique and fascinating.Kalashi people celebrate three festivals every year. Chilam Joshi, Uchal, and Chomos. Chilam Joshi being the most famous festival kicks off in the second week of May which is the spring festival. Uchal Festival happens in the Autumn season and Chomos festival happens in the midwinters


Kalash (Uchal )Festival Tour Program 6 Day

Day 1 : Arrival Islamabad ,Pakistan.

Pick up from airport and transfer to hotel .check in hotel. After rest a short city tour over night hotel .  

Day 2 : Islamabad -Swat Tour:

Drive  to Swat Valley in the morning (4-hour drive) Explore Swat Valley Overnight stay at Serena Swat.

Day 3 :Swat -Chitral  Kalash :

Road trip to Kalash in the morning. (5-hour drive) Shift to Jeeps/Off-road cars in Ayon VillageOff-Road drive to Bumburet Valley (1-hour drive)Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 4 :Enjoy Uchal Festival: (Day 1 )

This Day You will immerse yourself into the culture of Kalash to have a better insight into their culture. Explore Khun (locals interacting point).

Day 5 :Enjoy Uchal Joshi Festival (Day 2)

Day tour to Bumburet Village for a deeper cultural immersionVisit the site where Kalashas practice ritual danceFree time for immersion with locals.Dance event at a guest house in Kalash. Overnight stay in Bumburet:

Day 5 :Enjoy  Uchal  Festival (Day 3)

Day tour to Rambur Valley Kalash. people you will ever meet. then drive to Chitral Valley  Overnight stay in Chitral.

Day 5 :Chitral Valley -Islamabad 

After Break fast visit Chitral Valley then drive to Islamabad Over Night in Islamabad  Hotel.

Day 6 :-Islamabad

Chilam Joshi a world unique religious Festival celebrated by the Kalashi people. held in three Kalash valleys, Bumburet, Birir, and Rumbur where Kalash girls and boys dance to the tune of traditional drum beats.


The festival is a testament to the centuries-old traditions.The Shandur polo ground is considered to be the highest polo ground in the world where a unique wild free-style polo is played between different teams of the region.
